Naked on the balcony
Return to DiscussionsSometime later on while on the cruise, I have seen some of them in the steam room or sauna naked enjoying the new freedom of hanging out naked.
This has been my experience also. Once they see it's okay to be naked, a lot of guys will join in. I've seen a few wear swimsuits on the first go round only to return naked for the next visit.
I've tried being on the balcony naked a few times. Some ships are perfect for that while others have gaps in the balcony dividers so I'd had to be aware of my neighbors.
I also love to hang on the balcony naked. But always go to the spa and hang naked in the steamroom and sauna. been on about 20 cruises now and have 3 booked later this year. still never been on a nude cruise.
When I took a Princess cruise a few years ago, there were sign prohibiting nudity in the sauna, steam room and hot tub, even though they were in the men's only part of the spa!
I also love hanging out naked on the balcony when I'm on a cruise and enjoy the steamrooms and saunas naked as well. As a cruise agent myself I have been on alot of cruises and have found some of the best steamrooms and saunas are on Royal Caribbean's Freedom and Voyager classes of ships. The new Oasis class of ships are coed though which I don't like as you can't go nude plus there is a charge to use them. I'd love to find some other nudists to cruise with though so contact me and maybe we can set something up.
every cruise line is different some have private balcony some dont..i like to cruise with different
companies..it nice to relax naked out on the balcony if neighbors cant see you..i like the freedom to be naked in the mens only steam and sauna area..not everyone likes to get naked in those areas..i was on ovation of the sea (royal Caribbean)last December and there steam and sauna areas are unisex (maleand female) i never seen anyone naked there during the cruise..!!
I've been naked or in a skimpy tan thru suit many times on the balcony. Would be nice to have neighbors who did the same. There was one cruise when I went out to the balcony, I could hear the neighbors scurrying to go inside. I imagined they were out there naked and didn't want to be discovered.
NCL ships used to have an adult only top deck that allowed for topless tanning but many times people were naked. A few years ago, they changed the signs to bathing suits required but still adults only. A few ladies still went discretely topless. They have since removed the signs. The last few cruises, there were so much foot traffic up to that deck, it was hard to relax.

The NCL ship I was on had 2 adult only areas each with a bar and 2 hot tubs. Wish one of them had been clothing optional. I suspect that the total number who would like to be naked or wear a thong plus women wanting to be topless, would have been enough to make it worthwhile.
