Nudists For The Promotion Of Naturi
This is for people who don't want to be ashamed of their practice. Who don't want to have to hide. Who want to help the rest of society get over their fears of the human body and start living in peace.
Where are we going wrong?
Return to DiscussionsI agree that skinnydipping is a good place to start. There are lots of beautiful lakes on secluded state-owned land here in New Jersey that are perfect for skinny-dipping. I've taken advantage of it on occasion. The only problem that I see is that swimming in these places isn't officially allowed. I'm guessing that's a liability issue. I have heard of cases of people drowning in the area which is unfortunate but not a reason to ban it completely. I don't understand why they can't replace the "no swimming signs" with a sign that says "swim at your own risk." People hike at their own risk. You never know when an angry bear is going to come and eat you. I've heard of that happening too.
The signs are for fear of litigation.
Swimming at ones own risk allows you to swim! Saying no swimming does not.
It is sad from a European mindset that the law will if it goes unchecked will force the use of fences to keep you out or be seen as colluding. And yes like everything else, one day you will need a permit to hike, to get the permit you will need 1st aid course and basic wilderness training and lastly a waiver!
