Return to DiscussionsSo ... just to start this group off, how long have you been playing golf? Tell us about your experience/experiences and if you're a serious golfer or is it just for fun?
My dad built a house that backed up to a golf course when I was 10. Have been playing ever since. Not seriously, just for fun. Haven't ever played nude. Well....my wife and I stayed at a resort and after quite a few drinks I took a few swings with my shorts off. We ended up in the bushes in the golf cart if you know what I mean.
There is a nudist resort not too far from me that has a par 3 course (Sunny Sands I think it's called). Would love to play there but I'm a single (wife not into the nudist lifestyle). So until I join AANR or have been to another nudist resort they won't let me go there. Kind of ironic that just paying a membership fee or having been to a nudist resort would somehow make me a legitimate nudist and not a perv (which I'm not).
My dad bought me my first set of clubs at the age of 12 ... at a yard/garage sale, down the street. The heads on the irons were so rusted and pitted. Believe me ... they had wooden shafts and leather grips, which were coming apart on a couple of the clubs. I played with those for that first year and then my mom worked for Thrifty Drug Store. The had a small sporting goods section and she bought me my first new set of Swingline clubs ... 5,7,9 and putter. We had a great couple of 3 par courses nearby and my dad would take me out there to play after he got home from work. This year marks my 50th year of playing golf! :D
I finally had a set made for me by a friend about 20+ years ago. It was his side business. They lasted me until about 2 years ago when I finally bought myself a set of TaylorMade Burner Plus Irons and an R9 Driver. I'm a 29 handicap ... so I'm not serious by any means. My wife started to play when she retired. I gave her a couple of pointers and took her to the driving range to get a feel, then I said ... "now, lets go take some lessons." I took them too and I was surprised that after 50 years of playing incorrectly, those two course pros fixed me! hahaha My wife couldn't hardly hit the ball but now after 10 group lessons, she's driving the ball 120 yards! I still shoot in the 98-104 range, but I'm hitting the ball straighter and almost as far by just slowing down. Lessons have been great and made the game more enjoyable.
I will have died and gone to heaven if I could play a round of golf, in the nude, at a regulation course but ... I'll take any course, if I can play naked. I know Cypress Cove has a little pitch and putt and now that my wife is playing ... I know I can get her to agree to playing golf and playing it naked. It's certainly on my list and I've been blessed with a wife that not only loves nudism but likes golf too! No complaints here.
I'll have to keep some of these little nude tracks in mind when we start traveling in the motorhome. We always incorporate nudist outings and time with textile travel and visa versa. I've also dropped my shorts and driven off the tee a couple of times but couldn't get anyone to take a picture. Nowadays with cell phone cameras, I just gotta get my wife to do it. She'll willingly flash me and play braless and without panties but she won't strip and drive a ball off the tee ... unless she knows we've got NO ONE around us. hahaha

So ... we are planning a trip to Hawaii. Since my wife has now taken up golf, we plan to play a round while there. I've looked up several courses and many of them mention that we will notice that many of those playing golf will do so ... barefoot! THAT is right up my alley and I wish my wife would join me but I don't think she will. My wife has beautiful feet. She takes good care of them and has pedicures quite often. She has beautiful feet, she says, because she doesn't go barefoot, except for inside our home.
But ... I will be playing golf barefoot in Hawaii and wishing I could be barefoot all over! :D
Have been a serious golfer for about 35 years, about as long as we have been nudists. Started playing while on strike and a friend said, "Hey you want to play golf?" I responded golf, yuck. Well I got hooked and have been golfing as often as possible ever since. Golf is a challenging individual game. To be good at it, you need to put in the time to practice. Fortunately I now have the time since we are both retired. I play 3 times a week almost all year round. Owen let's me do my thing as he has not caught the golf bug. I enjoy the game and meeting and playing with other people. Cora
I started when I was about 10. There was an old run down executive course that a friend and I would get our moms to drive us to. When I got to college, I would play up to 3 times / week and got pretty good. I could shoot in the low 80s consistently and shot a 79 once on a fairly long and hilly course near home. Since graduating, the golf outings have dropped off considerably. We live along the inner ring road around Boston (Route 128 for anyone that knows the area) and there aren't a lot of public course options nearby. Now I am lucky to golf once every 2-3 years.
If we ever get out to La Jenny in France I will play their full-length course nude. For now, I have to settle for the chip & putt course at Cypress Cove for nude golf.
Since my last post ... we've, Di and I,decided to try and get out as much as twice a month, together, and then twice a month with my other golf partner. 4 times a month is pretty good for me.
We just played a 3 par 9 hole course in San Diego that used to be private. It was an Officer's Only course on the Naval Training Center property. I'd always wanted to play there and since the training facility closed, they made the course public. We had a great time and worked on my short game. Lots of fun!
Well....I usually shoot around par....for 15 holes. Always have that one or 2 per side that get away from me and end up in the low-80's. Had a golf membership at the club I belong to for a few years and played on Sunday mornings and every other Wednesday or so.
It got a little expensive and with 2 in college and one on the way (we hope), I've backed off for a while. I did play earlier this month in a golf outing and yep...82.
There are a couple of nudist resorts nearby that have chip and putts. Sunny Sands and Cypress Cove and hope to try them sometime but honestly, if I can get the day off to play I'd rather be at the nude beach.
Ive only been taking it seriously for the last 2 years. Im in year number 3. Im a practice nut so when I find something that is really hard. Im naturally drawn to it. I am also an outdoor fanatic so they go together like peanut butter and jelly. Ive become so engrossed I watch the Golf channel almost constantly. Im playing about 2 times per week and out on the range another couple of days. Ive gone from solid 120s to solid 90s. I play by PGA rules. No mulligans. I do kick it out from behind a tree now and then. Lol. To play a round nude in the free and open would be a dream come true. Is there such a place?!? Doesnt matter. Ill be playing this weekend somewhere.
