NUDISTS WHO LIKE SEEING THEMSELVES
Whether you enjoy looking at yourself in the mirror, or even your own photos. If you're vain or just proud to be nude. Appreciating the beauty of nudity begins by appreciating it in ourselves.
Nudist or Exhibitionist?
Return to DiscussionsI'm more of a nudist or naturist as most of the time, I'm nude alone solo in natural setting. There is nobody to "exhibit" to.
But in a social nude setting, the line gets blurred especially if some guys may tend to exhibit, even "touching" themselves in open view. This is what I experienced when attending indoor nude meet-ups in the past.
Definitely for me, the being part is the main part. I just enjoy being nude and looking for different ways to experience it. I'm not primarily doing it to be seen, but just to enjoy the opportunity.
Secondly is being seen, but with the proviso that I don't plan to offend others. If in a CO zone, then I figure they know what to expect, and I'm fine with being seen, even if they choose to remain dressed. Receiving a smile or a greeting is better and a short chat is wonderful, whether about the experience or other topics. Complements are especially welcome and a pleasant surprise when I (occasionally) get one.
When not in a CO zone, I try to be careful, but am sure I am occasionally seen from a distance. For beach-side activities I often leave my glasses behind so my judgement as to how much I am am seen is definitely a little inaccurate. I'll try to find a deserted area and keep watch if I'm moving around or a discrete spot if just lying in the sun. That usually works, although maybe I've just been lucky. Quick cover-ups are not my speciality, so I would attempt them in all likelyhood. If nude is not an possibility, my swimsuit collection gives me options to be a bit daring with either the cut or the fabric's sheerness according to my anticipation of the 'scene' at my destination.
The seeing of others is the last aspect for me. I always appreciate others being comfortable in their own skin, and enjoy admiring their choices in physique, adornment and and grooming. I may miss some of the details if I've left my glasses behind and try not to stare, but do take in my surroundings. A chance to interact with a smile, greeting or chat is again welcome. I'm a bit shy about giving compliments, not knowing how they may be received, but am trying to get better in that department.
A naturist is made to be naked: it does not matter whether you look at him or not. Naked at home, there is no one to look at me and I dont care! On naturist sites, on the other hand, I like to show myself naked in photos and see other nudes too: its the virtual sharing of nudity in common.I dont like to shock too Im not going to put myself naked where people are dressed, but where they are stripped in majority,I immediately remove all my clothes
I never thought that being an exhibitionist was an issue with naturism. I would have thought that it is the same when someone buys a new outfit and put it on to be complimented on how well you wear it. The same with your birthday suit. If you work hard for it and are proud of it then their shouldnt be a problem with anyone else. As long as it is not meant to offend others.
The issue with this discussion is that it always always always mixes a pathological and outdated psychological definition of exhibitionism a socially constructed definition of it as negative or appropriate in context and the non sexual pleasure of showing off which is exhibitionism. Only one os definitely sexual. The second has a component that is. The third none. Naturists don't do fetishes apparently or at least not in public. Accordingly lots of kinks marginal practices are practiced in private. Two consenting adults in a home doing any exhibitionism is ok full stop. Any other ideas about how you theoretically transgress the home and imagine the sin and catch the sinner so to speak are just barmy fascism.
Sexual activity is only one kind of exhibitionism. Lije all sex it has a context for appropriate role plays and ones that aren't. The acts are not the issue. Where they happen is. The rest of the peacocking puffing and drama conflama that humans pull is just fine for naturists.
