nude boating or jet skiing?
Return to Discussionsi have a jet ski and cant find any real laws about boating or jetskiing nude. i live in the central jersey shore area, anyone know if its legal to jet ski nude in the bay/river or do i have to go out into the ocean? i'm not trying to get arrested so i need to know when and where its legal. i'm going to keep looking online but any input will help me out.
I would play it safe and wear a bathing suit. Regardless of whether you go into the ocean, you have to launch from on land. There is the nude beach, Gunnison Beach on Sandy Hook; however the Gunnison Beach parking lot is a long ways from the ocean and a long ways to carry the jet ski.
I live in Florida. I boat in the Nude always. I use the rule that if I can't see them, they can't see me. However there are some people who use binoculars and this of course would change half of that rule. When I am far enough offshore that I can't see faces, I strip down to nothing but a smile. I guess if someone wants to invade my privacy by spying on me with the aid of a visual device, there is nothing I can do. I have had the US Coast Guard pass by me and I'm sure they have check me out to see what I am doing, without any problems. Also other boaters have passed me and just gave me a wave and I went about my fishing. So, in open water, I don't think I would worry. Just have some sort of cover up handy if you think there may be a problem. Enjoy.
