2022 road trip
Return to DiscussionsLast year we had a 5-week Covid "breakout" RV trip in May, a few months after our 2nd shot. Another trip in mid Sep thru mid Nov. We decided we like traveling in cooler spring and fall weather, and enjoying our pool in the hot summer. So, we'll probably do the same this year. The only drawback is that Nudist resorts are not so fun in chilly weather, Lol.
I have a new trailer on order with delivery expected in May/June of 2022. I will be going full time as soon as I get moved in. Looking forward to exploring the western US and more as I avoid winter weather as well as extreme heat. Plans are to visit several naturist/nudist resorts along the way. As I no longer have my sailboat, I may have to change my nickname here to something more suitable.
We are spending 5 days at Shangri La Resort in April then in early July, we will be heading to Southern California with a trip to Lake Tahoe. In September we will be going east to North Carolina. Mira Vista is only 2 hours from us so I see weekend trips for sure.
Mountain Air Ranch is nice. A little bit of an uphill circuitous route to get there. Also from the RV campsite, everything is uphill. Quite a lot of stairs up to the pool and clubhouse. In the foothills in an old mica mine area. Nice folks and picturesque area!
Well, my delivery date has been pushed back to August due to the demand created by the pandemic. I just made arrangements to rent a used trailer until then so Id have a place to stay while working my seasonal job. Looking forward to hitting the road this fall and heading south. Lots of places on my bucket list!
Just picked up RV last weekend, getting everything ready for summer outings, not sure where heading, just where ever the road takes me.
Congrats it is exciting to go on your first trip. It May be a little nerve-wracking until you are comfortable with your new rig, just take it slow and enjoy!!
