Return to DiscussionsThis sounds kind of interesting to me. I'd love to check it out. I'm in the United States so I haven't seen it or found out where I can view it if I can. I occasionally watch Naked and Afraid but the blurring annoys me. Even though the title of the show has the word naked in it and it's obvious they are nude, the censorship just drives the constant message that the very nudity they are promoting is blocked from the audience's view. Irritating. I don't know if I would get that interested in watching a full frontal naked dating show for a long time, but it would be refreshing to just see it.

There does seem to be an amazing difference between the UK and Europe where nudity is now common on regular tv and the USA . Genitalia ( especially male it seems ) are either avoided by carefully chosen camera angles etc, or irritatingly pixelated as in Naked and Afraid. When we consider that swimming club magazines and even school yearbooks showed photos of male swim teams nude in living memory in the USA we have to worry about the loss of acceptance of nudity and increased censorship.
