Return to DiscussionsBeen watching the 2016-2018 PBS Masterpiece production on Queen Victoria. In the second season I was happy to watch the Prince Albert, Prince Ernest and two other handsome young men decide to go skinny dipping. It was safe for TV viewing but naked men swimming in a pond caused me to long for the warmer weather!

I missed that episode but your report reminds me of the scene in A room with a view that showed some happy guys skinny dipping. Healthy attitudes about nude swimming. Like OP, longing for warm weather, from here in the snowy north woods.

I watched the series to a point and got side tracked but I loved that episode. I so want more male nudity, more scenes like that. Men stripping to swim nude is just beautiful. I'm reading a novel set during the Civil War called Unmentionables. It tells two love stories about a white straight couple and a gay black slave couple keeping their love and selves alive during the war. I just read the steamy erotic scene where the two young men have sex the first time. I was visualizing it for the screen all the time. It would make a great series with lots of opportunities fir nude scenes. One can hope.

It was fun to see that scene again. Reminds me of the exuberance I felt when nudist friends and I seized the moment in a settings like that.
