Return to DiscussionsWhile I understand censorship constraints, it remains puzzling to me the pixelated cover up of all frontal nudity on the show NAKED & AFRAID. Full nudity is so integral to key moments on the show, such as initial contestant reactions to each other, it seems at the least they would have uncensored shows telecast on other less restricted channels.
I'm not a huge fan of N&A even though there are interesting moments. I believe the show's producers cruelly put contestants into too harsh situations which have resulted in some harrowing life threatening situations.
I have always wondered WHY a show called Naked & Afraid would be censored. If you tune in you should know what you're getting into. Also, it's not a sexual show at all so there shouldn't be any censorship of plain naked people. Finally, it's on CABLE which doesn't have the same restrictions as broadcast TV. None of the censorship makes sense.
