Correct Translation on Nudity
Return to DiscussionsWhen doing research on nakedness and nudity in the bible, make sure you have the correct English Translation from Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. For an example, many people like to use the word nakedness in Leviticus Capture 18, King James Translation, to prove that nudity is sinful. However, the correct translation used here is ,"Sexual Intercourse". Also keep in mind, not all English translations will use the word naked, or nude, to explain that the person in not wearing any clothing. Further more, historical research of cultural traditions also will help you know if the person was naked or not.
