Return to DiscussionsGreat reactions and I agree with all the sentiments expressed with the exception of the friends only. However, its all a matter of trust, and if someone really has doubts about the integrity of others here, then its probably good to have an alternative to an all-or-nothing situation. (Not to be confused with Britsh Naturisms great motto: nothings better!) Might apply to youngsters who are exploring all this and who hopefully (as in one recent case) will soon decide - what the hell? (We do need to work on the public image of naturism, anyway, and propagate the nudity is not an issue principle.)
My own story? I joined HON first and it was to advertise the international gay massage courses I was then (2005?) running (the economic crisis of 2008 put paid to them). I needed to post a profile for this and, although I was (and am) decidedly no photo model, enough people had been seeing me naked anyway (courses and short massages at naturist events, all done naked), so it was no big deal to post some nude shots there. What was a great surprise was the number of compliments I received from people who didnt have to do that. This bumped up my self-image considerably and, combined with quite a few really nice people I have met there and here, has made my world a happier place - something I want to do for and share with others.
There are also parallels with being and coming out as gay, and a part of me is, with my nude (and on TS erect) photos, saying - how dare someone say that any part of the human body (in any of its states) is indecent or dirty and try to enforce these disparaging and narrow-minded views on me!
I hope this all makes sense.
AN APOLOGY
I honestly didn't realize my photo access was restricted, I've just changed that in my settings so they should now be visible to all. Please accept my apologies. I believe what happened is that about six or eight months ago I got really pissed at the TN Admin. after they repeatedly deleted several pics of mine. I removed most of my photos and Profile info,., cancelled my certification, and was about to check out for good. I left a few pics, just in case I changed my mind, but made them restricted. After a day or so I realized I'd acted hastily, started re-loading photos and Groups.
I hope others will be able to view my photos now (Please let me know?).

Why Did you Decide To Share Your Nude Pictures On This Site?
Maybe I first joined TN for the wrong reason. All my life I'd been interested in the nude in art. I'd collected nude statuettes and pictures and created some myself (signing them with my trademark duck). TN was, and still is, a mine of pictures of real nudes - all shapes and sizes, warts included. Then I thought I wasn't being fair - if I was to see pictures of other nudes they should be able to see me. I uploaded my first nude photos rather tentatively. Then I got the bug! I realised that I enjoy others seeing me naked even more than I enjoy seeing them. I uploaded more and more photos and, as they say, the rest is history. I'm naked on 5 websites each with 1000's of pictures. Some are very easily downloaded. But the best pic was one published for a textile audience on the website of my local radio station, with the radio station drawing attention to it. So I guess I quickly turned from voyeur to exhibitionist, though I must admit that I still like looking. I never hide my face here on TN or TS. On other sites there may be close-ups of my bits but even there my tell-tail duck trademark shows where my pubes used to be. Why not? Everyone around me knows I'm a nudist. And I take it as a compliment if anyone can be bothered to actually look at this aging overweight freak.
When I first posted on TN and other nudist sites I was concerned that my students would find my photos. At that time I taught high school theatre but I'm retired now. After a time I decided "screw it" and posted lots of photos of me taken all over the place. No one has found them so far!
But the main reason I like posting photos of me naked is I enjoy being seen naked, anywhere I can. Some might call me an exhibitionist but I don't think so. I do get naked in places where it's not always legal.
I also think being naked leads to body acceptance. And we need more of that.

this is a very intriguing question.... we are voyuers and exhibitioist deep deep down. I have so many kind and encouraging words about our pictures we share on this site.... I love every persons photos we have looked at.... kind of a great group of people on here!! Feel free to check us out... we will do the same!!
