Nudism for me was not easy. A lot of insecurity with my body and internal conflict were present. Started with being naked on a massage table, then in locker rooms and gym showers, then a Bathouse and Korean Spa and from there a clothing optional resort. Its something I treasure and have worked hard at. I had an older gentleman insist I be nude for a massage whereas before I had always been covered with a sheet. Im very grateful he didnt give me a choice if I wanted a massage with him. I learned to accept my own body.
How did you overcome modesty and insecurity?

Believe in fate and destiny? I am your first response and I am a very recent nudist as of July.

My only advice is to just get some courage and go for it! Live and let live and just accept everyone including yourself and treat everyone the way you want to be treated. I have been into nudism my whole life and finally took the plunge this year. We all feel inadequate in one way or another about ourselves. After all of us get over these issues we will be totally fine with our bodies and minds.

The great thing about nudism is that nudists don't care how you look. It's about how you are as a person. Body shaming comes from the textile world. It's my experience that for example on the nude beach you can talk to everyone, and nobody care what you look like. That's why it's so liberating! So, in my opinion, totally be yourself and love who you are as a person!
