A Dyslexic Moment
Return to DiscussionsSome people have blond moments or senior moments. I usually have dyslexic moments. Letters get scrambled or entire words get replaced according to what my brain thinks should be there. Sometimes, I'm glad I'm the only one who notices.
Butit sometimes turns out I was right all along. Case in point: Last night, I was watching The National, the CBC late night news and saw a report on Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue. However, I was sure I saw "Going Rouge," which I found to be a strange title. Later, I saw the book cover again and concluded that I had misread the title the first time. Yep, another dyslexic moment, I thought, UNTIL...
The National presented a clarification tonight. Apparently, there actually is a spoof of Palin's book called Going Rouge, and the report from the night before actually did show a copy of Going Rouge by mistake. The mistake was corrected for subsequent editions for other time zones.
So, it WASN'T a dyslexic moment. I was right after all!
