Perth Nudist Liberation Meetup Grou

The idea here is to link up Perth Truenudists with the Perth Nudist Liberation Meetup Group https://www.meetup.com/Perth-Nudist-Liberation-Meetup-Group/ Hopefully, Perth people will join up with both groups.

As mentioned, this group is linked with the Perth Nudist Liberation Meetup Group. I became organiser for this Meetup group just before it was about to close through lack of interest earlier this year. I have no great plans, because I also suffer from a sense of ennui typical of apathetic Perth.

I changed the title of this group from Perth Nudist Meetup Group to Perth Nudist Liberation Meetup Group because if anything I believe nudism should be a liberating force. For over sixty thousand years Australia was possessed by naked people, that is until Europeans "discovered" it & imposed their laws, including that of public indecency. Now we see that rather than improve the land, Europeans have devastated it, ruining the environment & contributing to severe climate effects, with loss of animal lives & huge bushfires.

Across the world there have been environmental protests. One of these is World Naked Bike Ride. In the northern hemisphere, this occurs in our winter. Here in Australia, it tends to be in March, our autumn. This year, WNBR day is March 8 in Byron Bay; March 15 in Melbourne; & March 22 in Sydney. There has been no mention of it in Perth. There is a challenge for anyone interested. The difficulty is, Perth seems to be more conservative than say Byron Bay despite having a world record for skinny dipping in 2015. Both Sydney & Melbourne have had large pubic nude events with the photographer Spencer Tunick. Would Perth police allow a nude ride bike, say along the Kwinana Highway, that does not interfere with traffic but still makes its point?

RE:Introduction

G'day Chris.
I do agree that Perth is more conservative than other states here in Aus. We are fortunate to have the clothing optional beaches though, and in my opinion they rate as amongst the best in Australia. In Queensland it is still unlawful to go naked on any beach, but can be managed if cautious.
I'd like to try some more bush walks and cycling locally with any other locals, and it doesn't necessarily mean it has to be an advertised event. I kinda get the feeling that most nudists on these sites nowadays aren't actually true nudists though. More likely to be beach or home nudists, which is fine, but it decreases the chances of larger gatherings for social events, like bike rides and bush walks etc.
