Places to do Nude Photography
Return to DiscussionsI'm always looking for interesting places to photograph nude subjects (when I have models to photograph, which is seldom). In looking at photos I have found that the same locations keep coming up again and again as there are so few places to actually be nude. Beaches and lakes, woods and trails, and inside around the house. I love nudes that are in daring places, but understand that is risky and not what I'm looking to do.
I have attended a few resorts and found many if not most have very strict NO CAMERA policies. I understand the intent, to protect the privacy of the members, and that certainly trumps any need I have, but it also means that among the few places where you can openly be nude and in the company of fellow nudists, you can't do legitimate nude photography.
I was wondering how others felt about this? Have you found it a problem? Are there clubs that do not have an issue with you doing photography on their grounds?
Of course, I'm talking about photography with an informed and concenting model, not sneaking pics of someone!
Thanks, I appreciate where you're coming from. I've pretty much assumed cameras to be forbidden at most places and I certainly adhere to that. Does anyone know of other places that are good for doing serious nude (non-sexual) photography? Just wondering if anyone knows of some good places (aside from beaches, forests, trails and back yards)?
Years ago commericial areas on the weekend would be fun, but now with video cameras everywhere that's not as common of a safe area as it used ot be. In many large towns there are studios you can rent by the hour. If there isn't one in your area maybe a local photographer will rent you one off hours.
