Return to DiscussionsMade impromptu trip to the beach yesterday. Wife was having some friends over, and apparently, I am not on this particular 'friends list' so felt it would be a good day to be somewhere else. Access road has opened past 7, now, but only as far as Eddy Creek, an un-numbered crossover between 7 & 8. So Eddy Creek is now the last open parking lot (road is blocked from this point on) and again, unofficially the nude beach. I am only posting this, because if you are used to 7 being the last stop and you should happen to park there and get naked on the beach you may find you are the only one without clothes! Weather was warm and breezy but overcast. I haven't gotten out much lately, so very pale and concerned about sunburn, but yesterday I think I came home whiter than when I left! Still can't beat a day at the beach! Enjoy!
Good to hear. I was there on the 9th, and the beach was closed just before the Eddy Creek crossover but at the time the crossover looked to be almost done so that was expected. Overall it seems the recovery process is going quicker than after Ian a couple years ago and from what I understand the damage this time from Milton was not as severe as Ian, so hopefully things will be back to normal at Playalinda and Apollo in a few months.
