Playalinda/Apollo Beach

A group for those of us that like to go to Playalinda and Apollo Beach on the east coast of Florida.

Is Apollo and Playalinda Beach open for the space launches or do they close the access roads? I may be down in the area around the end of April first of May to see some launches. I know I could see them from almost anywhere but viewing from the beach would be nice.

I've watched a launch from the beach. It was a great site to see. I don't think they've closed the beaches during launches since the shuttle program ended.

Only areas the closed were the small parking islands that are from gate to the turn road makes at dunes..parking lots were all open.
