This subway line is express so it woukd take you downtown in no time and seesighseeing (4 stops to 59th Columbus Circle and right by central Park, 5 stops to 42nd times sq, 8 stops to Canal st, 9 stops to chambers st (One World Trade Center)...
Also the A train takes you from and to JFK.
