Running Nudists
A group for those of us who think running is a nice way to exercise. Do not think there are so many of us who are able to run naked as the group is for both naked and clothed runners.
Running Club Advice Please
Return to DiscussionsHello fellow runners. Im looking for some advice about joining a running club. Ive run solo for a while now and Im doing ok. Ive seen my pace increase steadily but recently its levelled off and I know I can do more. Im hoping that joining a local running club will help me progress, give me some more information about local races and events, and also open up a social side to my running perhaps.
But Im a little bit worried too. I spend pretty much 24/7 braless and that includes sporting activities. I find it far more comfortable than being restricted, and the motion doesnt bother me at all. Ive only run solo until now so havent had to worry about what other people might think.
So I was wondering from a runners perspective (rather than a nudist perspective); has anyone seen this in their running club? Do you think it would cause an issue? Should I just put up with the sports-bra when Im with them?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great as its my only drawback to joining a proper club.
I think, long term, a sports bra is beneficial to protect and prevent those beauties from gravity and impact. Seen them worn even in fig leaf nude marathons.
Im not sure about that, whilst they may be worn for comfort by some women there is evidence which suggests going without a bra significantly reduces the effects of gravity on the breasts later in life. This is because they develop their own support rather than relying on clothing.
Talk to folks if you're going out for races. Many know of the local running clubs in the area and where and when they have weekly runs. I've found that participating in 5k or longer distance races has improved my speed & endurance. I wish I could be more helpful, but I live in SE Pennsylvania, USA.
Thanks to those who replied. Im still unsure. I will definitely continue braless when on solo runs. Im still looking for a club so ill have a bit more of a think about being braless at the club runs. I think I will probably continue it though as i find its far more comfortable.
I have seen some women run braless. I run without underwear. Sometime my clothes reveal that I dont have underwear on and sometimes not. Long distances I wear underwear only because of the chaffing. A club though will definitely help you build up your speed and distance.
I'm not a runner myself but.....is your concern bouncing or nipples showing? companies like under armour or gym shark have textures and patterns that would disguise the nips. you might try the compression shirts for a little support without wearing a bra.
hi Jayne, wearing a bra or even a sports bra is choice, if you are comfy running without one then don't change anything. Others will except you as a running partner regardless if you have a bra on or not. why make yourself a little uncomfy just to try and please others.
