School Teachers Who Are Nudists!!!
Personally, i know a a couple of school teachers who are nudists, so i figured i would start this group up for school teachers lol!!

Return to DiscussionsThis spring semester is rough financially....one of my courses was outright cancelled for low enrollment, and my other was switched to a 2 student independent study for history majors. I will very much miss the shortage of the other $5000 of my normal pay :P (I am currently applying to online tutoring services for part-time employment as well.) However, it hasn't been too bad having 2 enthusiastic students. I still teach 2 days a week from campus (better video set-up than at home) but have had to resort to using my laptop for the 4 days campus was closed for snow, and the one for the water main break. The one advantage to that is that the camera on the laptop only shows me from about mid-chest up, so I have indulged myself by not wearing pants on those days ;)
We are also tested every week for COVID, which the college pays for, and I have been negative for every test since last September. Rumor has it that SUNY is arranging for a vaccine clinic for us as well (which I will believe when it happens.)
I hope everyone else is coping as well with school + the pandemic.
Mrs Southern is in the classroom with kids every day - and the school system has finally arranged for teachers to obtain the vaccine. She's received her first shot. Hope your situation improves there so you can recover the lost income. We're looking forward to spring break in two weeks!
I lucked out and got my first dose of Pfizer on April 1st (yeah...drove to Syracuse in a snowstorm for that!) and my second dose on April 22nd. I was good to go "fully vaccinated" on May 6th.
The word from administration is that students who are going to live in dorm must have proof of vaccination 3 weeks before school opens on August 30th, and day students should have proof of vaccination in order to access campus starting on August 12th (which begins the peak day registration period). Until further notice, masks will be worn in the hallways and public areas unless eating or drinking (cafeteria is currently closed for selling food) and the policy will be revisited at the end of July in preparation for fall semester.
As of now, I will still be teaching online synchronous zoom classes unless my enrollment reaches the minimum number of students needed to get an in-classroom schedule. I will keep teaching from my campus office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, until and unless I can improve my video set-up at home before school reopens.
I hope to be able to have a few pants-free teaching days until the weather gets cold again. :)
