Hair Today Gone Tomorrow
Return to DiscussionsI have been using an epilator from my nose to my toes for years. At first it hurt, but after a few times the pain went away. I get no stubble and now the hair on my chest, belly and pubic hair has all but stopped coming back. My arms and legs can for week, but I prefer to go over them daily.
That's a good slogan for me. I was really quite hairy all summer. Then, for a whim, I decided to shave it all off just after christmas. Now I shave every morning. I am trying something called Philips Lumea Which emits strong pulses of light to kill the hair roots. Its a fortnightly treatment repeated over two months. I'm only part way through so I'm not sure it works yet. If it does I'll be smooth permanently without shaving!
i shave once a week while showering and touch up when needed. the other day i recieved a cheap $3. chinese electric razor off the internet, i was amazed how well it especially worked on my legs and chest. i imagine i will use it for touch up but if it works well enough i may switch to it.
I've put down the razor and found me a esthetician that didn't act like a 13 year old girl when I asked about male Brazilian waxing. Been going to her for over a year now and love it. I had my last session two weeks ago and I'm still smooth as the day she waxed me! ;-)
I can't believe the reactions I got from calling several local salons and asked about male Brazilian waxes. I actually hung up on one woman that replied to my question; "hello, I'm inquiring if you do Brazilian waxes on male clients." Her reply ... "ewwww, no!" I lied, I didn't hang up immediately ... I said ... "sorry, I didn't know I was speaking to a child." Then I hung up! ;-)
Maybe I should have emailed and asked these questions before I called. I was surprised to find the female esthetician I did. She's about 45 mins away but well worth the drive, besides ... I drive there naked and back home again! hahaha But she's professional and does her best to accommodate my schedule, is always willing to fit me in or reschedule and she knows what I want and knows what I am and what we do so she's aware that I prefer to have the blended affect with regards to smooth skin to moderately hairy skin.
I try and not put a lot of credit on the "reviews" businesses get but I was surprised at how many had such positive things to say about her and so I drove the 45 mins to give it a try. I was NOT disappointed. I'll eventually have to find someone new and I'll start looking. My esthetician is younger than I am but she's talked about retiring in the near future and I'll have to find someone to replace her. Just home I can find a woman that is mature enough to do what I'd like done.

I just shave once a week or so. Kind of let it go a little in the winter but now that the weather is nice I'm back to shaving. The one thing that bothers me a little is my balls sticking to the insides of my thighs when I first stand up so I'm leaving a little bit of hair there and it seems to keep them from sticking so much. Anyone else have this problem?
I did but started to lotion my entire body a while back and they don't stick anymore, just slide! hahaha
My skin was getting very dry. I needed to do something and my wife lotions up after her shower so I started doing the same and my scrotum has stopped sticking, for the most part ... still happens once in a while, and my skin feels and looks better since I've applying lotion after morning and evening showers. :-)
