Why smooth?

My heritage being mexican, and I am sure there is some type of indian in there, whether Mexican-indian, or American-indian, I am blessed without a lot of body hair. Except for lower legs, patchy interior thighs, amd pubic area, I have no body hair. No visible arm, nor chest hair.
I used to trim the pubic area, which included shaving the small area on my thighs. But, once i shaved, my gf loved it. So, I keep it shaved now. I am thinking about waxing or sugaring.
Any thoughts on that?
Started shaving pubic area due to ED. Use of erect aid required pubic area to be smooth. On a spur of the moment idea hit me, I decided to just go ahead and shave head to toe. Had been shaving my head for years because I just like the look and feel of a smooth head. By no means am I broad at the shoulders and narrow at the hips, but when I looked in the mirror after shaving, I liked the look and so did the wife. Not a daily shaver but always am smooth when socialising.
My wife saw an article in Times Magazine about a website called Skinbook. Knowing my like of nudism she said I should check it out. When I went on there I noticed a lot of people had been smooth shaven down there so I tried it and liked it. Pretty much end of story. Have been that way pretty much ever since.
I started as a dare/penalty. I decided to walk naked from one nude beach to the next along the cliff top. The path was confusing and every time I took a wrong turn I plucked out a handful of pubic hair. I took many wrong turns. By the time I reached the second beach I had no pubic hair. I liked the look. So, when I got back to the guest house I shaved my genitals completely. And I shaved the rest of my body when I got home. I really liked the look and feel and stayed smooth for the rest of the summer. I let my body hair grow back for warmth in the winter. Then, one spring, I put the decision to a poll here on TN. The vote came in as go smooth and I shaved it all off.
Then I got a small tattoo where my pubic hair would grow. Since then I have made sure my pubic area is shaved so the tattoo stays visible. It was/is no big step to extend it to all my genitals. For a few years I had a full body wax before each holiday. I enjoyed being waxed despite the pain. I particularly liked the smooth feeling afterwards. My skin was so soft, smooth and sensuous to the touch. I stopped only because of the cost.
Now my torso (chest, belly, bum, armpits, pubes and genitals) are shaved all year round. I let my arms and legs get hairy for warmth in the winter, shaving them in the summer.
Actually for me it started a long-long time ago in a far off land 39 years ago. While stationed in Korea I was deployed up on our 6 week rotation at the DMZ. Well not sure how it happened, could of been that little gal in the village and maybe the rice straw we used for camouflage, regardless I manage to acquire, what we called "sukoshi chingus" or Little Friends.... pubic crabs!! little bastards were eating me alive or so I thought. Medic gave me some cream to no avail. Guys were not wanting to be around me as though I were a leper; and I had to put my clothes in a garbage bag and seal it off before the 1SG would take to the rear for washing. Needless to say after 3 days I had nothing left... but that is another story. I was a tanker, so I rode around on a M48, so kinda lucky that way, and is was September so still warm. I was itching so much I was getting pretty raw form scratching. Finally my Korean KATUSA said you should not give them a place to stay in his best English......Humm OK I give, and proceeded to walk into the river butt naked and decided drastic measures needed. I very nervously started shaving the pubs with my trusty Military approved Gillette two sided razor, sweating bullets I'll tell you. Well the little fellows were gone, went with hair. It was quite a nice feeling actually. as I walked back to my tank all the while guys laughing at me... the sensation was overwhelming ,wow!! I like this. So, I started keeping my equipment clean from then on. Took a lot of shit from the guys in the showers (we had open showers then) couple years later My new wife was like really into it even though she said I was weird. OH, I got the last laugh cause we where at a small compound when the entire company come down with the little bastards infestation (visualize a company formation were everyone is scratching themselves hilarious!) .... I didn't have any problems. To this day I still keep my self clean there mostly cause I like the feeling. Sorry I went on for so long, but Had to put the story in context.
I was late getting pubic hair (tenth grade) and when it came in, it was bright ginger. I hated it. Shaved it off my senior year and been smooth ever since. I will occasionally let it grow for a few months but always go back to smooth. Several years I met a guy who wanted me to let it grow out. I did, just for him. Had the first full bush I had ever had. LOL. I'm back to smooth...
well I actually thought it was a fad at camp years ago first the ladies of course they are pretty smooth anyways than the guys started I've never been much for body hair and never had a lot but one day went smooth above wait with a landing strip and smooth balls with some hair on legs still by mid summer I was going to camp for the weekend getting there Friday early before the crowd so Thursday night every hair nose to toes came off. well Friday came and I arrived at camp got nude at the van and set up my tent afterward hot I went showered and entered the common area - the pool and I guess I stood out because the dozen or so fellow nudist were eyes on me this was the mid 90's so not sure how many smooth guys but I was hooked even though I got lazy in winter and let my leg hair grow back. maybe 10 years ago I went back to being a nose to toes smooth with the help of a mangroomer 10-15 minutes a week no big deal and still love the look.

Personal aesthetic preference that all nothing more nothing less just like I prefer at this point to keep the hair on my head low and on my face shaved at the moment.
