Where is your favorite Skinnydipping Hole here in California? Your secrete place to be out in nature naked, and go Skinnydipping :-)
San Diego
Return to DiscussionsAnyone know of some good skinny dippin holes East of San Diego. Thought there might be some out itn the mountans or desert.
When I was going to SDSU, I had gone to one near Alpine, called Laguna Lake, but it was a bit of a hike in to get to it. There are others I wish I could recall the location names, but they were all a bit of a drive to get to them or I do not remember how to get there. I would not be surprised if the locations are all built up and you cannot get to them.
After a while, my preference was to go to the resorts there, currently only DeAnza still exists, the other burned down in a brush fire, and never recovered. I also had visited Blacks a lot, but the resort was easier to get to, and not so many people with cameras. LOL
I also recall a group that is down there that my friend would go to called Camping Bares, and they do a lot of events and such, look them up.
I wish I could give you more specifics, but there is a lot of years since then.
DeAnza Springs Resort would be a great base camp for exploring the Anza Borrego State Park. There are several trail heads out of DeAnza and maps in the front office. They also ask that you sign their log so they have some record of where you might be headed, just in case you don't return! We've only taken a couple of trails and did not venture too far. The train trestle trail is one I'd like to try when we get back there after the quarantine has lifted.
Not aware of any hot springs or skinny dipping holes out that way but I bet those in the front office at DeAnza could give some info on that. I don't see why they wouldn't share that info over the phone. If you do find some info, be nice to share it here. ;D
