Permanent pubic hair removal

Im thinking about getting laser hair removal for my pubic area so Ill never have to shave again. What do you all think about this? Do any of you have experience with it?

Make sure that if you buy an IPL machine that you have dark hair and use it on light skin. My hair was too blondish and it was not enough to kill the roots even though I used it in the winter after all my tan had faded.
