Members arrived from GA to join those from the Midlands of SC to enjoy the Travelites annual Oktoberfest.

The beer and wine tasting variety was enjoyed along with snacks followed by a varied Bavarian potluck supper. A few different dishes of brats along with a few different dishes of cabbage/sauerkraut, potatoes, bread baked with butter and melted cheese, followed by yummy brownies and chocolate black raspberry ice cream.

There were 8 different beers including one from Quebec, 4 different bottles of chardonnay, a Spanish red, several merlots and cabernet. We all had our favorites.

The hot tub was well-used as the temperatures dipped. October definitely has arrived.

Your RSVPs for the next event (Founders Day celebration) is needed no later than Monday, Oct. 10th for the 15th that begins at 4:30 in Hopkins, SC for snacks including an Edible Arrangement. About 6pm, well be carpooling to Casa Linda, a very reasonably priced Mexican Restaurant on Garners Ferry Rd. and returning to Hopkins for birthday cake and more hot tubbing.
