Back in SW FL and Fishing again !!
Return to DiscussionsFirst, Welcome to all the new members here as I have not been here for a couple weeks and noticed the group grew again. Baby steps, but growing. We can always use some more fishermen and women here. Hope we can maybe talk in the near future.
Back to SWFL a couple weeks ago and finally got out on the water after getting everything else caught up, fixed or corrected. Second trip yesterday. First was a few days earlier with a couple buddies and went 50 miles off shore where everything was biting all day. We had fast action from the first drop of the live bait. Amber Jack, Cobia, Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Huge Jacks, Progy, Grunts, Yellowtail, Mangrove, Lane snappers, stuff we broke off and lost and more. Had a great day on the water. Yesterday in much closer, fished alone, and less gear ;) but still good luck but mostly undersized Red Grouper which has a closed season anyway. Red Grouper is alive and well. Just great to get back out on the water and worked on the tan.
