Return to DiscussionsAnyone been out fishing in the Ft M , Naples, Marco area. Just got here and hoping to get out on the gulf.
FYI for anyone not paying attention to this part of the country they have had a bunch of rain here and there are many flooded ares here in Collier and Lee county. Nothing like TX but a bunch of people with water in the house or up to their front door. Looks like some areas here received 15 to 20 inches of rain in 4 days.
It has been a while since I have been out, about the middle of August and out of Marco. The fishing was hot and so was the weather. Would like to get out again but hurricane clean up is taking my attention for now
Hurricane work on my own house is under control and mostly done. Have cut up or down more trees than I have ever hoped to with a chain saw. Lost count of how many storm shutter I put up and then took down for people. Fill time with volunteering distributing food and clean supplies waiting for insurance adjusters. Overstayed my five day fishing trip stretching it to over a month with no fishing at all. Time to head North, Pick up my truck and drive back south. Looks like no AJ season till summer. Have to see what else we can find to take their place. See you on the water, tight lines!
