American Red Snapper season to openin four days for Sportfishermen
Return to DiscussionsWas lucky and went out on a charter for some early Red Snapper fishing last week as commercial gets an extra 10 days on the season. Glad I had the chance to go but the extra 10 days is a different post sometime. Anyway, already getting the gear and the rigs ready. 100 miles west of land, 200 feet of water, plenty of livebait, frozen bait and artificial baits will be on the boat. This is a huge expense to catch two of these Snapper per person so we are looking for 30 inch and larger snapper. Hoping to find some big Red, Black, and Gag Grouper also. We will be working to fill the box with lots of good eats. Ironman Trip, 24 +/- dock to dock. Going to be an exceptional trip!!
