Return to DiscussionsThey are not for everyone but you have to beat the sharks off as they are large and plentiful and all varieties. Catching Bull , Blacktip, Lemon and Hammerhead Sharks from the beaches at this time. My biggest at this time is about 180#s but there was about a 500# Lemon caught off the beach facing into the gulf. Goliath Grouper will eat anything big that they can suck into that huge mouth. King Fish, Spanish Mackerel, Snapper, Grunts, Red Grouper all biting and all in good numbers. Just have to find which piece of hard bottom or which wreck they are on today at this time. As always be there when the tide is moving with the exception of getting the big Snook out of the heavy structure and mangroves which is best at slack tide. You have a 30/40 min window for the really big snook. Been fishing alone and hard to get photos when landing and releasing the big fish. Need a SWFL fishing partner!
