Traditional Korean spas (jjimjilbang) are very family-friendly, and when I showed up around 8:30 AM this past Saturday, it was nice to see a father there with his three sons enjoying the Bade pool and kids hot tub. It was a good reminder for me of the values behind these placesculture, respect, and tradition.

That said, what I always enjoy most as an adult is the calm of the Bade pool, chatting with friends (new and old), and just soaking in everything Spa World offers. By 9 AM, the mens section had filled up pretty quickly, but we were still able to move around and hit all the stations without too much trouble.

This time, I grabbed lunch with a friendSpicy Pork, which is always a solid choice. Its a nice way to take a break, dry off, have a good meal, and reset a bit. Afterward, I went back to the pools for another hour before calling it a day.

One thing Ive noticed: traditionally, youre expected to be nude in the spa area, but Spa World now allows swimsuitsand this time, I saw more people wearing them than ever before. If its your first visit and youre unsure, Id suggest challenging yourself to go without. Its actually very freeing, and oddly enough, wearing trunks tends to draw more attention. Plus, sticking with tradition just feels more in line with what this space is all about.
