Stay Naked In Hotelroom
A group for nudists who stay naked in hotel room .
Normalizing nudity
Return to DiscussionsI travel quite a bit for business and am almost always nude in my hotel room. I spent my final night at a hotel in the downtown of a Great Lakes State. I always ask for a hotel room on the highest floor, as I like to keep my curtains/shades open but do not want to be seen from the ground/street level. I feel claustrophobic if I keep the shades closed. Besides, it's just nice to be able to let in light and see outside. [I do the same when I get a window seat on an airplane.] So my hotel was adjacent to another hotel of the same height/stories and the room I was randomly assigned happened to align directly with the 6th floor hallway of the adjacent hotel. The way I saw it, I was doing nothing wrong by being nude in my room while keeping my window shade open. And from my experience working as a figure model for art classes, I have no problem being nude around clothed people - so long as it is not against the law. [And no, I was not sporting a hard-on (don't get me started on that.)] Accordingly, from time to time, hotel guests walking through that 6th floor hallway in the adjacent hotel could see a nude man (me) in his hotel room. I didn't make eye contact with any of them but I did act completely natural. I did keep an eye out for kids, though - not that I think there's anything wrong with kids being around or witnessing non-sexual nudity. Rather, I was acting out of caution that some Puritanical Textile might lose it and call the cops or report me to the hotel. Thankfully there were no kids and I didn't hear from the hotel front desk or anyone else.

Once I was in Boston for a seminar and the hotel was overbooked so we got a top floor suite.
No other building of similar height.
Great to be able to be nude in your room and look out over the city.
I used to work on Michigan Avenue in Chicago on the 19th floor of an office building directly adjacent a large hotel. I directly saw into hotel rooms and it was common for typically solo male guests to be naked with the curtains open getting dressed between 9 and 10 or so. I imagined they could see me just as well as I could see them. It was like locker room etiquette and I never made eye contact with anyone or thought twice about it. I've heard similar stories about people living in downtown high rise apartments - people are entitled to casual nudity in their own homes.
Hey F! This mustve felt nice bc I know you dont have the privacy at home to be able to go nude outside. Glad no one reported you as a pervert. Anytime I travel, as soon as I hit the hotel room, clothes are off. I like having a balcony, that doesnt happen much, but when it does, I like to take advantage of it!! Now I travel with hubby and he doesnt like it when I go by a window nude (remember, he thinks Im crazy for wanting to be nude outside the bedroom). Now if boyfriend was with me, thatd be a different story. Wed have some great adventures!
Love hearing about your travels!!!
