Return to DiscussionsHi all just joined this group as I'm overlooked by neighbours too. I have to wait until it's dusk before I can enjoy my patio/garden in the buff. There is just one spot where I can get away with being naked but can be caught out is a visitor drops by my rear access door.
Is your garden big enough to put a summer house/gazebo/pagoda up so you can be out of site from the neighbours when in the garden nude.
Also if you can do this could you just wrap a towel around yourself when going to this area and if any of your neighbours say anything about this that you decided you should be covered up and see what they say, people are more tolerant to nudity than you think.
My yard and deck are unfortunately very open to neighbors so I can't be nude out there. But the other day my wife was watering the flowers on the deck with the hose. I had a quick look around for neighbors, stripped down and ran onto the deck for a spontaneous soaking. It felt like being a kid again running through the sprinkler. I had to be stealthy and quick but it was very liberating for those brief moments.
Being Stealthy ...
I will many times take the trash bins out to the curb or bring my car from the curb up onto the driveway in the late hours of the night, completely nude. If I do it earlier, I will wear a lightweight robe or a large baseball jersey but most times, I'm nude. I routinely go to bed late. I don't sleep through the night if I go to bed too early. Usually between 11:30p and midnight, I will turn off the porch light and quietly take the trash bins out to the curb, the night before pick up.
With regards to my car, I'll do the same, shut off the porch light and take the direct route from the front door to the car. I will ensure the coast is clear and then get into the car and drive it up onto the driveway. I have a fairly good handle on the neighbor's routines and can tell when they are down for the night, although ... I was almost caught by the neighbors across the street one time and the other neighbor across the street, in 10 years of doing this routine. I was exiting my car on the driveway when the one neighbor drove around the corner. I simply got back in the car, closed the door and waited until they were inside their home and then I was able to go inside our home without being seen. The other neighbor was actually awake and smoking on their balcony. When they sit out there, it's hard to see them because they sit lower than the surrounding wall. I can usually tell by their talking and trails of smoke from their cigarettes. He got up from his chair as I was walking up onto the porch. He looked over and waved, I waved back. Not sure how much he saw but ... he's seen me naked plenty of times so I don't think he cares.
Stealthy as I can be ... sometimes not Stealthy enough! :D
We have a partial block and stucco enclosure outside the front door for privacy. However, at the right angle you can see in from the street.
I will admit I have been naughty and often go out naked to fetch the paper in the morning inside the walls since most all of the area is blocked. There have been a few cars drive by going to work just as I step out or pick it up and I think the drivers are never sure what they see.
Couldn't sleep ... up very early. We're have a "Extreme Heat Warning" for So Cal ... temps well over 100. It's kept the evening and early morning temps up in the very comfortable range. I was up before the sprinklers went off and sat outside on the front porch until they came on. I was able to be Stealthy enough to check most of them, ensure they were operating correctly and spraying correctly. Felt great to be completely naked out front. May have to brew me a cup of coffee tomorrow and sit out there and enjoy the warm early morning!
