What does every body teach?
Return to DiscussionsI retired back in 2007. I started teaching in 1971 in a Secondary School (11yr old to 16+ yr old). I taught Commerce, which involved teaching Shorthand and typing). I then on to teach Economics and Accounting and for the last 10 years of my career I taught IT and Computer Studies to "A" Level and IB.
Several years back, I taught the Mass Communications / AV Broadcasting course at a high school for a couple of years. It was a lot of fun for the most part and had a great bunch of students. But the real deal was the morning news ... the show had to go on or the Guidance Counselors would've had a kitten fit. Then a little later on, I taught Introductory Accounting & Business Law at the local Technical College as an Adjunct. And finally, I was a TA at Vocational School for a short time until an injury ushered in real retirement. The last one was a genuine learning experience for me.
