Hey gang, wanted to post something about the beaches in the area and see if anyone had any feedback. Our famed Bolivar beach seems to have mostly died since Hurricane Ike made the water line meet the dune line. I only went once this summer and was really disappointed. Surfside is better, but Ike cleared some of the trees and brush that made it easier to be near the dune line. Does anyone have other suggestions on beaches in the Southeast area? I've enjoyed the solitude on North Padre but wish I had more company. Any suggestions/questions welcome.
