The Cap, Chapeau, Or Hat Or Bonnet,

Put photos here of you wearing a cap, chapeau, hat or bonnet that is very special to you, an old, comfortable hat to keep you out of the sun or rain, an elegant bonnet such that you would wear to a coronation or the Kentucky Derby, a national cap or hat of some kind, something you would find at a millinery or haberdashery shop, most especially something with a story to tell.

I love this group - so much fun

But it is short of fezzes. Here's mine.

Where did you get yours? I got a similar hat to a fez in Nigeria (see currently on Media page 1) but it is brown, not red, and does not have a tassel.

I think yours is called an Aso Oke hat, or Fila. It is very stylishly worn.

I got this one from an online hat retailer. I have another that I bought in the Souk in the Medina of Marrakech - but that is proper tourist tat, inflexible and practically made out of cardboard.

Unfortunately the tassel on my pukka one didn't survive well being adopted by my son when he was a toddler, but there's a few strands left.

Anybody else going to add a fez pic?

I'm somehow lacking a fez. Closest I've been:

I took my Fez out to the countryside.

Maybe I'll take it with me wherever I go and get pictures of it on tour

Also. We should get a hats and star jumps sub-theme - Mods should note that this picture is mid star jump - I'm not over excited!
