Tolerant Nudists

This group is for nudists who are tolerant of others who are not the same as them. For example there are some who have good reasons not to show a picture and others who want a quid-pro-quo picturewise. Some are outgoing whilst others are still finding their feet. Some are sticklers for the rules whilst others are only human. TN has lots of members and the richness is in the veriety

I was reading a topic in the Sex and Sexuality Forum in which the opening entry pushed at the boundary of many a naturists' view of nudity. The forum's stated purpose - Discussions about the line between sex and being nude could be calling for the boundary to be pushed. Anyhow the opening entry expounded scientific and historic evidence for a link between comradery and a certain sexual activity. BUT rather than seeking to refute the argument other entries sought to censor it.

OK maybe the topic might be better suited to TN's sister site (TrueSwingers) but if we don't want to read something we can just ignore it - not campaign to constrain what others can read. Let's embrace the rich varieties of personality in the nudist community. We are bound to come across opinions we disagree with. Let's live and let live.

RE:Censorship

Re-reading the original post, I can't help but wonder if the readers who flagged it would have done so had it dealt with camradery/sexual activity between Male/Female participants, or even Lesbian Couples; I don't think any would've even raised an eyebrow but, rather, would read it with interest. As for the topic of "Sex and Sexuality" being included in a Nudist Forum-why not, since our sexual differences are most visible in Nudist settings.

RE:Censorship

So. are you saying anything is acceptable? There has to be a point of what is allowed and not allowed. The rules are there, we acknowledge them when we accepted to be part of this site. So what to some is censorship, to others is not what the web site is about. Yes discussion is necessary to some and to others is not, we need to respect to the 'limit's of this site. What many of us don't see on here is why we are here and not on other sites.

I guess what it's all saying is that although nudists are leaning in the right direction of body acceptance and acknowledging that nudity doesn't harm anyone, nudists still have not arrived. Nonetheless, leaning in the right direction is a good start.
