Trip to Hanlan's Point
Return to DiscussionsIf you're driving down from out of town, it would be best to park in Toronto before boarding the ferry, otherwise it can get very expensive... I usually park near the ferry and take the ferry over to the island and walk the approximate 20 minute walk to the beach... make sure to take the fairy that takes you to Hanlan's Point, otherwise you will walk much further to reach the beach. The Ferry ride, to and from is about $8 and there is no admission cost to the island.
The beach has shady areas, but you should arrive early to ensure you get those spots if you plan to visit on the weekend.

Hopefully beach time will be upon us soon. With more condos being built on Queens Quay, and construction still going on, parking is becoming limited and more expensive. If coming in from the east or west it might be better to take the GO into union then walk down.
