Best Parking for Hanlan's

Return to Discussions

I went Halan's yesterday and paid $21 bucks for parking, add the cost of the ferry, which was another $7, I paid $28 and that didn't include the cost of gas and lunch... so my question to everyone is there any recommended parking for those of us driving in to go to Hanlan'sthat's more reasonable?

Personally, I'd park my car and take the TTC. I'm not sure what direction you are coming from but if it was from the north you could park at Yorkdale shopping centre and take the subway to Union Station then transfer to street car to get down to the quay. For that matter, you could walk from Union Station. If you just buy a single token it's $3 per ride (so $6 round-trip) but if you buy them in multiples of 3 or 7 then it's only $2.60 each. I live 2000 km away but always have a few TTC tokens ready for my next trip.
Just look at the TTC service map and find some shopping mall or big parking lot and take transit and you'll thank yourself!
Full directions for transit are located here:

Here's the full TTC map and pretty much anything else you need to know about it:

I'm with you in spirit, guys! In another week I'll visit Oka Beach for the first time so I sure hope the weather holds and they have cheap parking. :-)
