Touching The Earth: Barefoot+Naked
A Group for Nudists who prefer going BAREFOOT (in addition to Naked) whenever possible. All living things receive sustenance from the earth. Like trees rooted in the soil, we too, are connected to the earth when barefoot. One might say the earth nurtures us as the sunshine and breezes caress our naked bodies. This, in a nutshell, is as nature intended, much of what Naturism is about.

Return to DiscussionsWhether I am naked or have to be clothed, I am permanently barefoot. Footwear inhibits me, when I cannot feel what is beneath me. I love to feel what I am walking on, whether it is wooden or tiled floors, carpeting, or, the best, outdoors. To feel the blades of grass or the seasand underfoot and between my toes. There is no better sensation.
I do agree, cant add much to that thought. Today the ground was somewhat warmer, really just less cold, but the soft ground and muddy spots felt awesome! Feeling the different textures, like walking on gravel , wakes the feet and makes me feel so much better. Today was the first day I was able to go for a nude walk in several months, only about a mile but better than just puttering around the yard! Come on summer!
Maybe a bit off topic, but here goes. When I see another barefooter out in town, just doing the normal everyday things, I always wonder if they are also nudists. You know, independent minded and averse to confining footwear could imply being averse to confining clothes too. Anyway, it always makes me smile to meet another barefoot person, where ever, clothed or nude.

Totally agree with this observation. Nothing comes close to COMPLETE nudity. One isn't completely nude if he or she put on any (type of) footwear.
But of course have safety in mind as we get nude, if it's dangerous not having footwear, eg. rocky places with sharp edges, forest trails etc.
Be free, be safe ... be nude.
