True Nudist Addicts.

It's generally recognised, that to overcome any addiction, you must first admit, that you are in fact addicted. So with that in mind, I have created this group for "TN Addicts" to come out of the closet and openly admit that they need help :) It is intended, not for those addicted to naturism, for we are all pretty much guilty of that, (and in most cases, that is not a problem) but...

Welcome to the group, tell us how you see your problem :)

Welcome to the group, and congratulations, for you have taken the first step on the road to recovery :)

I personally would be quite happy to, and in fact do, spend as much time as I like here, but I have a number of pressing commitments that require my time, and I really need to address them before I get into serious trouble. Despite this, I still find myself here, neglecting the boring stuff. It would be more accurate to say that I'm addicted to the forum, for I can go weeks without browsing the profiles, and I can't chat with this computer because it gets upset. I often completely forget that we are surrounded by lovely naked bodies. I just have to check in, to keep up with what is being said. It doesn't help that there is a fear of missing a post, once it has dropped off the home page, It would be better to have a long list of post titles, that are in bold, until you have clicked on them, but I guess we just have to make the best of what we have. I am getting better at looking at the time elapsed on the forum list, to see which ones I have missed. I also tend to want to comment on every thread for fear that if I don't, my absence will wrongly be construed, as agreeing or disagreeing, with the post. So, what do you find is your main problem?

Phil.

RE: Welcome to the group, tell us how you see your problem :)

(Stands up, with hands nervously clasped, clears throat, blushes) Hi. My name is Jen. And I am a TN addict. It all started innocently enough. My husband joined the site back in September and tried to get me interested, but I'd seen some of the 'Nudist' Sites he'd joined in the past and quickly left because they just weren't what they claimed to be, and really had no interest in joining a "site". And then in December, we had the first big snow fall of the season. We got this crazy idea to go out and make snow angels - in the nude. Of course, being married to a photographer pictures HAD to be taken to preserve the moment. He then decided to post it as a winter "challenge" on that "nudist site". When I saw all the responses and how much good, clean, nude fun every one was having I began to pay attention. Eventually I began to read through all the other forum threads, old and new. And then I, too, started posting. And reading everyone's posts and writing my own view points opened my eyes to the fact that "label" or not I was a NUDIST. And that's how I became hooked on TN. (Takes sip of water, clears throat again). My husband is now afraid he's created a monster. When my computer crashed and I started using his, well, let's just say that there have been a few minor rows over the keyboard. Well, I've said enough for my first meeting. Was teased by a certain someone on my very first full-fledged post that I tend to give the whole story in one shot. I'll give the floor to some one else now(Blushes, Sits back down).

Thank you Jen, now you're well on your way, the first step is always the hardest. I guess I have a similar story, of course when I started , there was no such word as "internet" let alone message boards, that could be accessed from any where in the world. I had enjoyed the occasional trip to the beach and before that as a child, had enjoyed the odd nude romp in the countryside, and felt very guilty, wondering if I was normal. Graduated to the local nudist beach and befriended a couple, Mike and Mary from Thannet, (lost touch with them now, so if you know them! hehe :) Then I found a friend at work was a member of the local Invicta Sun Club. He introduced my then wife and I to the club, and suddenly, we had our INF / FNI International Passports. It was fantastic, small and rustic, just a few acres, but well established, with all the usual, Big Club house, several well kept wooden Chalet's, Mini ten and volleyball courts, camping areas and nature trail, and a nice big swimming pool and lawns. All set in a big clearing in the woods. Enjoyed that for a year or so, but then we parted and I felt awkward going on my own and eventually stopped. After that I was mainly a home nudist with the occasional trip to the beach, but my new partner could not be tempted and I realised that the time spent travelling to the beach could be better spent sunning in the garden (we count the hours of sunshine here :) so I slipped back into the closet. More recently I have enjoyed some great nude local walks, love being on my own with nature, but would like to be able to share my local knowledge with a small group of friends this year. Found a site which was ok, but not free and heavily regulated, which meant a delay in your message being posted. That was very frustrating but good for a year or so, made a few good friends there, but got into a row with some strange folk, which was twisted and distorted beyond belief, and despite good vocal support from several friends there, I got booted off. Found a free site that was (correction IS, total out of control) but seemed great because it was instant and you can say what you like. Found some good people there and had a bit of a crusade against the pervs, but it was a loosing battle, and then one day, a friend there, Earl Ash, found and invited me to this wonderful place. Having experienced the other restricted and wild sites, I fully appreciate this great common sense attitude and approach from TT here. There are a core of great "Really True Nudists" here, and I love the friendly atmosphere and camaraderie that has developed, and believe me, it can only get even better. TT, you should be very proud of what you have created here. Finally, at last I feel at home among good friends. All I have to do now is work on my life balance, as at the moment, I just want to be here ALL the time, and that's not healthy :)

Well I guess that's enough from me, how bout you Nick, are you ready to share your story with us? :)

lol...Yeah...I'm an addict too. Not so much to this site, but to being online in general. It all started many moons ago when I discovered a game I played had a message forum. lol....was hooked from the word go. I just love the idea of talking to so many different cultures around the world, it's such an eye opener on so many levels. I just can't get enough of it. lol....At one stage I think I was a member of 5 or 6 different message boards. Unfortunately, it all catches up with you in the end and when the wheels come off, they FLY off. lol...However, I have since learned the errors of my ways and stick to this site only.

So, all better now....shit, look at the time. Damn, I'm supposed to be at my moms! lmao...so much for being cured...

Thanks for the warm welcome! My sweet wife is dedicated to being a nudist most especially when we are at our home resort, but she's not real interested in anything internet...have a tough time getting her to read her email sometimes. I do read most of the more intesting threads on TN to her so that she'll also be involved in my interest.

RE: Welcome to the group, tell us how you see your problem :)

Lets see. How do I see my problem? Well I have spent a whole lot of time here when i could have been doing other things such as watching tv or planning a bank robbery. so being here has kept me out of trouble. I have met a lot of great people who enjoy the same things as me, instead of being a recluse and hiding in the basement. So, it has helped me be social. being here has shown me a whole new way to enjoy being naked all i can instead of keeping all of it to myself. so it has helped open my eyes to new things. You know, to be honest I dont see this as a problem. Heck, I think its on my top ten list of possitive points in my life. What problem.

RE: Welcome to the group, tell us how you see your problem :)

My problem is quite simple, I prefer the nudist world to the textile one. If the textile world didn't exist I might not be on TN as much as I am. Because it does exist and I prefer the company of other true nudists and have internet access I keep in touch with other nudists here in my free time when I'm not socialising in our nudist friend circles.
If the world was clothing optional I could be my true nude self just about anywhere I choose, openly, while others could choose what suits them. Its not, so here I am, online a lot and on TN for a much of the time I am.
I was introduced to social nudism at the age of 12, many years later I still love it, my addiction grows the longer I spend nude with like minded people, in the real and online worlds. With my nudist friends we are far more open with each other in all aspects, I like this honest and open way of living. The textile world often covers up in far more ways than wearing clothing, that's not so good. If our 'leaders' were nude when telling us what we can or cannot do, would the world be a better place? I'd like to think they'd be more honest and open with us.
So, as things are, I'm addicted to TN and being a nudist amongst my nude peers.
