Leysdown Beach, anyone like to ......

Anyone like to give a report on what LeysdownBeach(Isle of Sheppey, North Kent UK) is like these days, .... plus directions?

Or any other S/E beaches for that matter.

RE: Anyone like to ......

Was at Leysdown Beach a week ago. it was very easy to find just follow the main road through Leysdown and continue out the other side till you reach the dirk track. This is a challenge for a motorbike! but not insurmountable!!
I found there were a lot of people at the beach mixed sexes. although only being able to stop for a short time never to speak to any and did attract some attention (although not sure why!) possibly for being a new face and alone.
This was my first visit and although enjoyable I would prefer to visit a sandy beach which this is not! or be with someone else as it can be very difficult having a conversation with yourself! lol

Thanks panman, could you get a car down that dirt track, or do you have to park up and walk it. If so, how far is it to the beach? It's great to hear that it was busy, with a good gender mix, what's the beach like?
ps.

btw, conversing with yourself gets easier with practice!

Phil
It is possible to get a car down there dirt track and there is a parking area at the end where the Naturist beach starts. you get out of the car climb over the bank and your at the beach!
By the time I arrived in the afternoon I saw some people leaving so they had probably been there most of the day!
The beach is a sort of loose shale /pebble beach with a grassy bank (which was where most people sat behind wind breaks) I saw a good mix of people at the beach and a good mix of ages too. from about 20's upwards.
It would have been nice to chat to some of the other a few did walk past and some said hello but that was all!
hope you find this of use!

Thanks p, that sounds really encouraging, all I have to do now, is to get a car, lol :(
or better still, a naturist friend, with wheels.

hehe, ...... No, thanks, ... I'm sure a lot of people will be glad to read that.

A naturist beach that you don't have to walk miles to, that actually has females on it and is not dominated by us elderly men and the obligatorymeerkats in the dunes, must be unique around here. All we have to do now, is to leave a sign there, telling everyone to bring a bucket of sand, next time they come :)

By the way, congratulations! ....... YOU are now TN's official, S/E UK roving reporter. :)
Your next challenge, (should you choose to accept it) is to investigate a rumour of a little know unofficial naturist beach, somewhere near Bishopstone Glen, between Hernbay and Reculver. I read about it somewhere once, but can't remember where. Don't think it's much, pebbles I think, and windswept, but it might be good for anyone in east Kent, that doesn't have time to go all the way up to Sheppey.

Thanks again panman
