Fremont Solstice Parade in Seattle 2022
Return to DiscussionsThe The Fremont Solstice Parade is back from its Covid hiatus and is going to happen this year on June 18th, 2022! Is anyone planning on participating?
Is anyone planning on riding nude in the parade? Theres more to it than just getting naked and hopping on a bike. Cyclists and other participants are encouraged to show off their artistry with elaborate body painting and costumes, with a dedicated Paint Party before festivities begin.
The Fremont Solstice Parade, Amy, is part of the Fremont Solstice Fair, a street fair in the Fremont neighborhood in Seattle celebrating the start of summer. Although not an official part of the fair, the Solstice Cyclists have been a tradition since the very first parade in 1989. Everyone one else except the cyclists are clothed, both the audience and the other participants. The cyclists are the main attraction though and the audience cheers them on. The cyclists ride first. Hundreds of people ride wearing nothing but paint.
