Wild, Inaccessible Or Empty Beaches
A place to document any wild and empty beaches that you've been to in the UK which you've experienced are good for nudity. We're looking for places that are off the beaten track, elemental, wild, hard-to-access, great for nude running, and where the chance of coming across someone else is very low to zero. Don't post about known nude beaches here.

Holmsgrove Sand, Goldsborough
Return to DiscussionsHolmsgrove Sand is highly inaccessible, by foot even if the rope shortcut is used from Kettleness, it still involves a good mile of shoreline but if you have a Kayak it should be a lot easier.
I personally have never been, I have tried, its the name -Holmsgrove - sounds Viking to me, draws me but I've only been to within maybe 500m of it, its marked as shingle on the map but has ankle breaking seaweed covered boulders stretching at least 500m on either side, plus its a good 4km of beach to pass as the tide falls around Kettle Ness point itself, if walking from Runswick Bay.
Of course you can do much of the walk in nude but for sandals.
Its probably about 4km from Sandsend too, along the railway track, then down the ladder to the shore at Deepgrove, then keeping away from the cliff with its endless fall of rock debris & occasional avalanche, Its not too bad to Tellgreen Hill & Loop Wyke but beyond its the ankle breaking seaweed covered boulders stretching about a one km.

1) from the north (sea on the left) looking across the ankle breaking seaweed covered boulders, mid right on the shoreline there's a line just below a small cliff, thats where the beach is
2). From the south (sea on the right) from Tellgreen hill, which I think could be a great place for a nude wildcamp, was hoping to be there this weekend but I can't manage it, have skinny dipped in the sea here June 2019.
Holmsgrove sands is above the "N" in true nudists logo to the right of the green Seaveybog Hill.
Just had 2 nights camping at Tellgreen hill, a mile from Holmsgrove, didn't get chance to go on to there but was a lovely camp spot only saw two guys passing and another two fishing the night we arrived, temp was 13-15C so not great to be nude for long but twas late September with a good breeze & with rain showers & a non nude female companion, it was worth it just to be there.
