Return to DiscussionsLast night was the WNBR in Chicago. I've wanted to do the ride for several years, and this year I finally did it. I had a little incident early on in the ride (skinned my arm on a concrete wall while avoiding a collision with another cyclist), and my taint is very tender today, but the experience was awesome. We lucked out with beautiful weather (mid- to high 60's, only a few, momentary sprinkles here and there, and a nice breeze to keep us from overheating), and the cheering crowds were a great surprise. It's something I'd definitely do again in a heartbeat.
This past summer I did my first WNBR in New Orleans. I enjoyed it so much I went on to do Montreal and Philly. I have become a total addict. Next summer I want to do 2 or 3 rides and am looking into Chicago and a few other sites. I would appreciate any info about the ride from someone that has participated.
