Wnbr - World Nude Bike Ride

For anyone who has been in any of the WNBR rides or would like to be.

Toronto WNBR June 8, 2024

Return to Discussions

My plans are all set for the Toronto WNBR on June 8 at 1pm. This will be my first Toronto ride. I have been a bit wary of doing Toronto since growing up in Western and Central NY State, I know it could be 90 degrees out or it could be in the 50's. I am hoping for the warmer end of the scale. There is a nude beach in Toronto that the riders go to after the ride.I may have to check it out even though the water will be way too cold to go in for a wimpy Florida boy like me.
One thing about the Toronto ride is that it is organized by the same person that does the Montreal ride that I did in 2019 and both day and night rides in 2022. Well run rides.

Is Buffalo in your plans for this year also?

Yes, Buffalo, sometime in July and Houston September 14. Once the date for Buffalo is announced I will make travel plans. Hopefully, it will be announced at least a month in advance since i need 4 weeks notice to get time off from my part time job.

What kind of work are you doing part time?

Its already in the high 70s & expected low 80s in scenic iconic San Francisco USA on the path for great weather for the Naturists/Nudists/FUNists Double-Header #Bare2Breakers Weekenders @SFWNBR with Our many #NudistWelcomingMerchants which set San Franciscos #SFNudistHighHolyDays apart from any others in The Western Hemisphere. International Artists @GillieAndMarcArt have given @SFWNB FREEdom to use Their GiGiPark Sculpture ( on both the #Bare2Breakers & #WNBRsf2024 routes ), They Had A Big Whale of A Time featuring Their NAKED anthropomorphic avatars, NUDE DogMan&RabbitWoman Riding a NAKED Whale, as the Official @SFWNBR Mascots which seems fitting & well suited from both a Naturist & Environmentalist perspective.

@HTownWNBR has religiously been keeping an updated National Listing of WNBRs for the past few years under their new management : wnwnbr.org/index.php/north-american-rides-for-2024/ .

Good, send that warm weather to Toronto for June 8. My biggest reservation about doing Toronto and maybe Montpelier, next year is having spent most of my life in Western and Central NY, I know on the traditional WNBR date of the second Saturday in June, it can be in the 80's, or it can be in the 50's sometime in the same day. I have never been able to handle the cold, and 23+ years in Florida has made me less tolerant of it.
For what it is worth, I am seriously considering a trip to San Francisco for the Bay to Breakers / WNBR events next year.

I saw that the date for Buffalo is August 3.
Will you be visiting family when you go to Toronto, Buffalo or both?
What kind of work do you do part time?

1 week until the Toronto ride. I will leave here on Monday evening and drive straight through to Buffalo to visit my mom. My major reservation about doing Toronto inn early June is the weather, and looking at the 10 day forecast, it looks like Saturday, June 8, the day of the ride will be the coolest day in the 10 day span with high temps in the 62-65 range. While that may be comfortable for the locals, that is January weather where I live. I guess I will have to tough it out. It looks like 2 days before and 2 days after the ride it will be in the 70's Hopefully it won't be windy and rainy like Montreal was for the 2019 ride. I still have not finalized my exact schedule. I do know I will be arriving in Buffalo on Tuesday 6/11 and will probably drive to Toronto on Saturday morning and spend the night there. I may go up a day or 2 earlier though. That is still up in the air.
Admittedly the weather is the main reason I have not done the Toronto ride rather choosing warmer places like New Orleans and Austin, TX for the early June date, but have to check this one off the list. I really wish they would do it later in the summer.

Are you planning to do most of the drive nude?

As a rule, if it is over 70 outside, I will drive and make nighttime gas stops nude. Once it gets cooler, I may look suspicious being shirtless especially with the WNBR plate on the car
