there might be a possibility of starting our "own nudist
gathering", but that it should be for couples only, because single
males are thought to be too "creepy".
Therefore, I have proposed that all who want to have a separate
"own nudist gathering", but who are prohibited from joining-in on
the formation of said COUPLES-ONLY "own nudist gathering", could
contact me. And I have now opened an email address for that
purpose, naturistchi@gmail.com
I am single male 70 yrs old, who has been to Woodlot only a couple
of times. I think that if there were any interested persons, we
might meet together somewhere outdoors next summer, and possibly
indoors a few times during the cold weather, before then.
--And talk via forum posts and emails to sort through our
ideas.
This is just a vague, general idea, at this point, and success
would depend on what resources are available among the pool of
interested parties. How many persons, how close we are
(geographically), how many great ideas can be generated from among
the group, how much enthusiasm, and other factors.

I like the idea..im 62 married with a wife who does enjoy the nudist lifestyle..
Why do you say demise? What happened?
I thought it was generally understood that:1) Woodlot was
only open until Labor Day weekend, and2) This would be the
LAST year that Gene would be having Woodlot open as a naturist
retreat.
Is that true?
I am surprised to hear someone say they had not ever heard of this

getting from reading these forum posts.
Woodlot has been open as recently as this past Saturday 11-5-16 . I spent a few hours enjoying the weather and serenity . As a single male I am interested the acceptance at Woodlot and its future .
Hoping for a long shot of another 70 degree Saturday and or Sunday .

Okay, thanks for the information. After Dale posted that he
will "let you know week to week", then when there was no post from
Dale for the last few weeks, I just ASSUMED . . . If Woodlot
is still open, then there won't be any need for another nudist
"group" to be formed.
I live too far away to just "drive by" and see if the gate is open.
It takes me about 3 hours to get out to Woodlot. Not
worth the trip if it would be closed. Just letting people
know MY point-of-view.
It would be interesting to know what other people's opinions are.
Will Woodlot continue to be open? Has this been its
last season? How can a person know in advance whether Woodlot
will be open any specific day? --Or whether single males will
be allowed or rejected?
I called Woodlot about 20 years ago and the guy who answered inquired about my status and said he was probably closing the place. It sounds like its viability as a destination and my status as a single man are less certain than Chicago weather in April. I don't expect that to be clarified by the same wavering owner or manager. Once that changes and I am included I'd love to check it out!
