I'm hoping to get back to River Island later this year. See how things pan out.

There is a long stretch that the riverside camping area is on that people like to fish in, and it's of moderate length for canoeing. There is white water at either end of the stretch. Best when not in drought since the water levels can really drop.

I prefer summer, but occasionally also go in spring and autumn. I've also been before in winter, when it can also be great if the weather is sunny, but not as good as summer.

Went to RI a couple of months ago. Had a great time. Very friendly people there and so relaxing
