As many of you may have heard, there was a fire in the main building on New Years Eve. The fire started around 3:30 in the afternoon, we believe in the Dining Room area and spread to the lodge and quickly overtook the building. The Lodge, dining room, kitchen are gone. The Nudsino (bar) was damaged by smoke and water and will not be able to be saved.
At this point, as I understand it, they are planning to reopen for Valentines day using the Barn for Nudsino, the Oasis Grill as Kitchen, and have reached out to the condo owners to rent out condo's for guest.
The indoor pool at this time seems to have suffered little damage, and needs electric restored, (should only take a few more days) The campground is open and not affected, as is the office.
Please call ahead and make sure you have up to date information...
I can't wait to see my friends and help in making Avalon 2.0 the best Avalon yet...You guys are the greatest and I love you !
