San Onofre Beach Directions
I-5 exit at Basilone Road
Follow Basilone to the state park (NOT the state beach)
The entrance is 0.5 miles south of the entrance to the nuclear plant.
Inside the park, follow the road 3.0 miles to the end of the parking lot. Look for either of the two signs for Beach Trail #6
Parking lot, fee charged
Fills up by 9 AM on hot days, but you may be able to get around this by paying for an overnight camping spot
Or, drive to Las Pulgas Road, park there and bicycle in
Walk down steep path #6 to the sand, then another 20 minutes to south along the shore, past the lifeguard station and past the gully
