Return to DiscussionsI went there on Tuesday and Thursday this week. I just needed to strip down and go for a walk so I thought I would give it a try since I have not been here in years. Since it is illegal now to be nude on State Beaches, you have to walk onto Pendleton to be nude. You just walk south of the fence.
On Tuesday I walked just south of the fence and noticed a lot of people were nude so I stripped but held onto my shorts while I walked. I walked all the way to the big canyon and back without issues. Saw 2 nude couples and about 10 nude guys. No rangers or MPs to be found thankfully.
So yesterday I went for the second time and talked to a fellow surfer that actually went out to surf naked. I asked him how often he goes and he said at least twice a week. No issues with rangers or MPs. So I might head back next week and paddle out.
So I have been going here at least 2 times a week. Some days it is busy (10 people) and other days not so much. I went here yesterday and there was about 15 people there. 5 of them were women but only 3 of those women were topless. None of the ladies were nude. It was nice to see that the guys were "leaving them alone" for the most part. I did my usual 3 mile walk and sat there enjoying the sun and the surf.
One visit last week I was told there were Marines up on the bluff but no one ever came down and no MPs were seen. I paddled out to surf and never saw any sign of someone other than the people on the beach.
Obviously take precaution but this time of year, I have yet to see any Rangers at the beach. They are staying in the parking lot area.
Next week will be nice and hot so I plan on being there.
